    Dear Monica,

Exam papers should be available in your LMS and the Libray portal. At the portal, you can click on EXAM PAPER – a link under the i-Tools section. However, if the papers are not there yet, you can contact Hafiz at mhafiz@oum.edu.my

    Salam,

Saya ingin bertanya, bolehkah pihak luar selain daripada student OUM access library database?

Jikalau boleh bagaimanakah procedure utk access database library?

    Encik Kassim
Pihak luar tidak dibenarkan menggunakan Perpustakaan Digital TSDAS. Hanya pelajar dan staf OUM sahaja yang dibenarkan.

    Harap maklum

    Hi guys,

What is the difference between OPAC and EBRARY?..what is the advantage between both?..Thanks…

OPAC is an online catalog for printed books available in the Library. These books are kept on the shelves and to obtain them, you have to get the Call Number from the OPAC and go the location stated in OPAC to borrow out.

Ebrary is an electronic database consists of electronic books. To use these books, you just need to get access to Ebrary from the Library portal. You can search the books using keywords and read them online. You don’t have to come to the Library to use them.

Hi, thank you for this blog. Great job. I’m a new HBES student and after reading this blog some of my questions on what and how to use the OPAC have been answered.

I’ll be very grateful if you can post some sample questions on HBES – English Across Time and Space and Critical Reading.

Are there books or journals on the above subjects in the library? If so, how do I have access to them?

Thank you and keep up the good work

    Hi Ruzita,

Maybe i did not make myself clear as to the course. It is HBES 1103 – Critical Reading and HBES 1203 – English Across Time and Space.

I know it is a new course but I’m hoping that you will be able to help me by posting some sample questions.

    Thank you

I was first so excited to notice that OUM provides online access to its library ebook. However, later i was disappointing because I am unable to view/ open/ download the ebook.
is there anyway for me to access the ebook through online? or is the access to the book is allowable any time of is only limited to library opening hours?

    Pn Ruzita,
The Ebrary database is so convenient and useful.
My problem is sometimes when I click to next page, it either doesn`t go to the next page or sometimes the pages jump.
Please tell me how to go about it.
I just cannot proceed to read on.
    Thank you.

    Hi Boon

FYI, all eBooks databases allow full viewing and downloading EXCEPT Books24×7 and Ebrary. Books24×7 uses a HTML page-by-page display which doesn’t allow you to download. You can copy/paste but of course that is quite a troublesome. Ebrary on the other hand, uses something similar to PDF format. However, the system that comes with Ebrary is such that downloading is not allowed.

Other than that, as I said, all are downloadable.

I am a new student and would like to familiarise myself with OUM e-library. I found that every Tuesday between 3 to 4pm there is a talk on e-library over i radio.
When I ask for assistant as to how to get connected to the i radio , I was passed from one staff to another except the right one. ( Between 3pm to 4pm )
In the end I did not get to hear the talk.

How do I get the sound when I log into the iradio website ?
Is there a delayed recording where I can go back and listen to it ?
    Please help

    Frustrated new student
    Ms. Lee
