The Tan Sri Dr. Abdullah Sanusi Digital Library subscribes to databases with access to thousands of articles. We do understand the troubles of searching articles from these databases on one-by-one basis. To facilitate the ease of searching for articles, the Library provides Unisearch Discovery Service to search all databases we subscribe simultaneously.
Using the same process to get access to the Library Portal as explained in previous articles, you find this function in the Search Form under the tab: Discovery. This function will concurrently search for aticles from multiple databases including library catalogue.
When is the best time to use this service?
Let say you are in need of articles and do not have slight ideas of which databases to use. Or perhaps you do not like to search for articles from the databases we subscribe on one-by-one basis. The Unisearch Discovery Service or Library Find Articles service is your friend.
Take a look at this example:
- You are looking for articles related with “management and education” & you have no idea which databases to use.
- Access the Library Search Function from the “Search Library” button on the left sidebar.
- Select the “Discovery” tab from the Search Form
- Key in the title of the journal in the search form. Eg.: ‘management and education’.
- Click search button to start searching.
- The system will start searching based on your keywords and will display the result. See example below:
